Simply Be Open and Available

This week I am really grateful for opportunity! Every time we open ourselves up to really SEE what is in front of us and take a chance, we are taking a step towards manifesting our destiny and becoming more of who we are meant to be. So this week, and I know I have said this before, be open to seeing what is REALLY going on around you. If something is telling you to walk into someplace new, take a left instead of a right turn, or just pause and LISTEN, don’t ignore that inner voice this week. The Universe is trying to give you a new opportunity to share your gift. The Universe has something waiting for you. The Universe is trying to help you become all that you were meant to be!

This week open up and be available to hear it, see it, or feel it! Then get ready to do it! No matter what! Good luck!

P.S. I know this sounds like something I have said before, but I have to push myself to do this, remember this, and be this every day! Even if I reach all the goals I set for myself, I know even MORE exists in me and for me than I can even imagine! The possibilities for my life are infinite! Each time I reach a goal there is still even more good that I can give! I can still develop my gift in even more unique ways! And I can share my gift in ways I never even thought of before!

TODAY is the day! The time is now! This week we are celebrating because something great is in store for us! Let’s go!

What is your purpose-now?

Until recently I thought fulfilling your life purpose should center around peace, love, creativity, giving, compassion, helping others, joy, comfort, teaching, etc. Your purpose should not stem from a sense of self-fulfillment or self-aggrandizement, be ego driven, or based on greed, competition, lack and limitation, or self-hate. And while I still believe parts of that statement rings true, Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith said something a few weeks ago that COMPLETELY changed my perspective on what your purpose is and what it means to live your life fulfilling your purpose in a meaningful way.

He said (and I am paraphrasing), “We are all put on earth with the same purpose. Our purpose is to spread love, peace, joy, compassion, creativity and light on earth. We all have different gifts though, and our gift is what we use to fulfill this purpose.” I know it sounds very similar to what I talked about last week, but I interpreted his words to mean that we all have one purpose, but the journey of fulfilling our purpose will be different for each and every one of us because we each have our own unique gifts. For example, I thought my purpose was photography. But it isn’t. It is to share my gift of creativity with the world in a way that only I can in order to spread love, peace, joy, compassion, more creativity and light throughout the universe.

What Is Your Purpose-An Old View?

Preface: Life is so interesting! Sometimes I think the key to life is really just about being open, present, and available to what the universe shows you! Once you really SEE things, everything in your life falls into place! Don’t get me wrong, I definitely struggle with this, but there are times when things just click and I clearly see what I am supposed to do next. This post is a great example! I started writing “What is Your Purpose” months ago and I really wanted it to be my first post, but I just could not figure out how to articulate exactly how and what I wanted to say! A couple months later, after I started writing other articles, I heard Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith say something that COMPLETELY changed how I was looking at things. So I am going to do something a little bit different since Organic Expressions is fundamentally about personal growth and self-awareness. This week I am going to post my first article on finding your purpose, then next week, I am going to post the second article so you can see the transformation of my awareness. As I write for Organic Expressions, and write the daily affirmations @dailyflowermotivations, I am growing too! Let’s use this to grow together!

You Have Arrived!

I started taking a meditation class a few weeks ago and the instructor said “Just take a few minutes to arrive”. For some reason that statement really resonated with me. How often do we run from place to place just checking things off of our list (you know I love lists), but not really experiencing what we are doing or what is going on in the world around us?

When I first started my business I wanted to use the name Alternate Perspectives and I think this picture embodies the theme of "Changing your perspective to change your perception." Taking pictures gives me endless opportunities to look at the world in a different way so that I can really see and absorb everything around me. Who knew that some flowers are a different color at their base? Who knew that a lot of petals are striated? Who new that such magical colors existed in real life? Who knew there was such a thing as giant tulips? Please don't forget to pause, take a breath, and become a part of your surroundings. That experience was meant just for you, in just that moment, in just that way. Enjoy it!

Our Daily Affirmations

At Organic Expressions we are going to use goal setting combined with positive affirmations to start each and every day in a way that will help us move closer towards achieving everything we want in life. I have created a “theme” for each day of the week and every day we are going to move with these affirmations incorporated into our consciousness knowing that we are developing our unique gift throughout that day and every day!

What is Organic Expressions?

The goal of Organic Expressions is to create a “pocket of motivation” where you can come to feel inspired to grow, change, and build in ways that motivate you to spread the unique gift that only YOU have. In turn, this gift within you will be used to spread love, peace, joy, beauty, compassion, creativity, gratitude, and light throughout the world! Through Organic Expressions we simply want to make the world a better place.

I thought it would be so simple. Take great pictures? Check! Listen to my mom who said I could sell my pictures (even though she hadn’t seen them)? Check! Set up a booth at local art festivals? Check! Build a website? Check??? Well that is a work in progress.
