You Have Arrived!

I started taking a meditation class a few weeks ago and the instructor said “Just take a few minutes to arrive”. For some reason that statement really resonated with me. How often do we run from place to place just checking things off of our list (you know I love lists), but not really experiencing what we are doing or what is going on in the world around us?

What does it mean to arrive and how can we actively participate in expanding our consciousness so that we are receptive to receiving all of the positive energy and the good surrounding us? For me, to arrive means several different things:

  • It is a moment to say I am here. I am present. I am open. I am receptive to everything I can see and experience in this moment.
  • It is a chance to say I am here in this wonderful moment and I am grateful! Grateful to be HERE! Grateful to have this experience! Grateful that I have this opportunity to see, learn, and experience something new!
  • It is a new beginning. Every time you arrive there is an opportunity for a fresh start. You have never arrived in this moment, in this space, within this same context. Everything you experienced previously pushes you into a new moment that is just beginning. It is a new opportunity to draw everything positive from your past experiences and release that good into this new moment.
  • It is an opportunity to arrive without baggage. In this new moment you can let go of all the fear, worry, negativity, self-doubt, gossip, other people’s opinions, and self-recrimination. This is your new chance to say, “All of that negativity is behind me. I am releasing all the negative things that happened and I am only holding onto the good. I am only holding onto love, joy, peace, beauty, happiness, light, creativity, good, hope, abundance, and generosity."

The awesome thing is that you get to arrive for the first time over and over again every day, every minute, every second of your day, for the rest of your life! There are 86,400 seconds in a day. That is a countless number of chances to arrive, take stock, reassess, and let go if you need to. Those are 86,400 chances to say I am grateful. I am grateful. I am grateful. 86,400 chances to say I am thankful, I am open, and I am receptive to seeing and experiencing. Universe, what do you want me to see, do, and be today?

Have fun and enjoy your arrival!
